An update from Person on the eligibility issues surrounding the team. (Is this one of the prices of respectability? ed. -- So the Holtz years were respectable? Fair point.)

The highlights:

South Carolina freshman linebacker Melvin Ingram ... a four-star recruit from Hamlet, N.C., has been admitted to USC but is still awaiting approval from the NCAA Clearinghouse, according to his godmother, Cherie Galbreath. ... Ingram is one of several USC freshmen whose initial eligibility remains uncertain. The others are defensive backs Akeem Auguste and Arkee Smith and receiver Joseph Hills.

At some point, this will all work itself out. C&F hopes, anyway.
