WHILE C&F WAS OUT: New Uniforms

During C&F's trip through the Blogmuda triangle, South Carolina finally unveiled its new uniforms, or at least The State found a way to get us a sneak preview somehow.

I'm so hoping the Under Armour skull cap/head band/whatever that thing is, is optional.

A few notes of opposition:

(1) Surprise, surprise. It looks like practically every other uniform designed by Under Armour, just with a little flair here or different lettering there.
(2) No garnet. First of all, C&F knows garnet, C&F served with garnet, and that color, sir, is no garnet. Second of all, what happened to the garnet jerseys. We've now gone from black (Brad Scott and Lou Holtz era) to garnet (Lou Holtz era) to black (Lou Holtz era) to garnet (Steve Spurrier era) to black (Steve Spurrier era).
(3) Sorry, they don't have that "USC feel" to them. Yes, the former uniforms were old-school. But C&F liked the uniforms being old school. He was open to a little upgrade but...not...whatever that is.

One note of support: At least they're not these.

Oh, God. Looks like Under Armour stole the Georgia red and applied to to Carolina's unis. Or just redid their mock-ups for Maryland.

Dammit, I knew this was going to happen.

This is what I don't get...

The whole idea of Under Armour was that it was clothing to be worn UNDER sports uniforms and attire...

If they are now making jerseys, pants, shoes and other forms of OUTER wear...

Shouldn't they be changing their name...

Maybe Under/Outer Armour or something...

Just a thought...

I agree that the old uniforms looked better but I kind of like the new black ones as well
